How LOIS Works

1. ICD Delivers a Shock

Following a cardiac arrest your ICD delivers a high energy shock.

2. Smartband Sends an Alert

LOIS smartband senses the sudden high energy signal (shock) that travels through the body.

3. Loved Ones are Informed

Your nominated family, neighbours, carers or friends are notified that you may need assistance.

4. Loved Ones Come to Your Aid

Loved ones come to check on you. They are statistically most likely to be close by.

5. LOIS HQ Provide Support

LOIS HQ immediately call you or your contacts to offer telephone support and advice.

HOW IT WORKS

Person Recieves a Shock from their ICD

In the event that you have a cardiac arrest your ICD will deliver a high energy shock to treat the dangerous arrhythmia.

2. Smartband Senses Shock Sends an Alert

LOIS smartband senses the sudden high energy signal (shock) that travels through the body. The device sends an alert to LOIS head quarters, along with your geographical location.

3. Loved Ones are Informed

Your nominated family members, neighbours, carers or friends are notified that you may need assistance. They are also supplied with your GPS location.

4. Loved Ones Come to Your Aid

Loved ones on hand to offer immediate assistance. They are statistically most likely to be close by.

5. LOIS HQ Provide Support

LOIS HQ are also aware that you have received a shock from your ICD and will call you to offer telephone support and advice. If you do not answer we will then call your loved one’s.
